K-ON! Watch Order

K-ON! is a slice of life anime with cute girls in a band, who spend most of their time eating cake and sipping tea, but have an uncanny ability to perform flawlessly during concerts.

Even so, K-ON! more of cute girls doing cute things. There’s a simple yet engaging plot, tickling humor, charming characters, beautiful animation and enchanting music.

Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi, and Azusa are the cutest anime girls you’ll ever see. There’s so much character depth behind their moe look. The characters are fun when they are together, and their friendship and chemistry is amazing to witness.

K-ON! is another example of the fine quality of Kyoto Animation’s work. From the beautiful character designs to the detailed backdrops, every scene is a feast for the eyes.

A must-follow music anime, all the songs on K-ON! interesting and complete the atmosphere of this fun and calm anime.

Anime K-ON! had 2 seasons with a total of 39 episodes. There are 4 specials and one movie that serves as a side plot to the main story.

1. K-ON! (2009)

Hirasawa Yui, a young, carefree girl enters middle school, and she is instantly intrigued when she sees a poster advertising the ‘Light Music Club’.

He quickly signed up. However, Yui has a problem, she cannot play an instrument.

When Yui goes to the clubroom to explain, she is greeted by the other members: Ritsu, Mio and Tsumugi. Although a little disappointed at Yui’s lack of musical knowledge, they still try to convince her to stay to prevent the club from being disbanded.

After playing Yui’s ditty that revives his imagination, they manage to hold on to their new member and guitarist.

Along with schoolwork and homework, Yui begins learning guitar with the help of the rest of the band, experiencing a lot of antics along the way.

However, with the school festival fast approaching and Yui stuck with her practice, will the Light Music Club be ready in time for their debut?

2. K-ON! Season 2 (2010)

It’s a new year, which means that the senior members of the Light Music Club are now third years, with Azusa Nakano being the only sophomore.

The seniors soon realized that Azusa would be the only member left after they graduated and decided to recruit new members.

Despite trying many methods to attract the underclassmen, from passing out fliers, bringing people into the clubroom, and appearing at the welcoming ceremony, there was no sign of anyone planning to join.

While heading to the club room, Azusa overhears Yui Hirasawa saying that the club is fine with just five people and they can do lots of fun things together.

Second season of K-ON!! still follows the members of the Light Music Club as they experience their everyday high school lives. From rehearsing for a concert to just goofing around, they’re ready to make their final year together a great one!

3. K-ON!: The Movie (2011)

With graduation fast approaching, every member of the Light Music Club except for Azusa is leaving for good. But the girls aren’t about to let something as silly as graduation get them down!

To celebrate their last chance, the girls are going on one last holiday tour, all the way to London!

Their overseas trip will take them on a journey of discovery and friendship as they take the stage one last time in their final encore together.
